BSJ Board President, Sue Schultz, shares a moment with guest, Sue Iverson, at the BSJ Board Alumni Social.	Groundbreaking for West Salem's new senior housing facility, Mill St. Manor. Exec Dir Tom Rand turns a shovel with Board Rev. Dan Henderson, Rev. Del Malin & Gene Ertz. An early summer opening is anticipated. A waiting list is being developed.			Staff from England's Frimley Park Hospital visit and learn from BSJ Corp staff. Angela Lawes and Karin Cannons assessed programs while enjoying visits to the corporation's facilities around the Coulee Region. The exchange is coordinated by Fred Kusch of JFK Associates in La Crosse.

Repr. Jennifer Shilling from the 95th Assembly District connects with Welcome Home senior housing tenants, Don & Mary Winters in their La Crosse 2-bedrm apartment with support services.	Dick Swantz & Dr. Charles Miller III enjoy the camaraderie during the Board Alumni Social. Dick is an Iverson Freking Award Recipient & Dr. Miller is a former Board of Directors member.			BSJ Corp announces the opening of Shelby Terrace as its new Assisted Living Facility. 2525 Shelby Road, La Crosse, WI.

Oktoberfest Grenadiers and Festmaster visit residents of BSJ Care Center during a toe tapping, beer toasting, and singing celebration.		U.S. Senator Representative John Medinger & State Senator Dan Kapanke visit with Recreation Therapy Supervisor, Kim Scholze, in the resident raised gardens.	Residents are escorted to Riverside Park for boating and fishing.
Carole Plante and Paul Lang won the WXOW TV 19 & Dahl Ford Hometown Hero Award presented by Andrew Dahl in May. The money award will go towards resident Bingo prizes. Congrats!		Harlem Globetrotters pay attention to residents at a recent Community Outing at the La Crosse Center.	Residents continue to be a part of the community. Regular community outings are a highlight of the month's recreation therapy program planning.


Marinuka Manor's Gallery
Staff donated gently used toys and residents restored them at Santa's Toy Workshop.		The Therapy Dog Program adds special companionship.	Outings include time along the Mississippi River in the summer. Marinuka Manor strives to keep residents active and involved in the community.
Marinuka Manor offers interactive games to help with coordination, dexterity and to add some fun!		Eden House Apartments are conveniently located next to Marinuka Manor. Tours available.	Rehab services offer ambulatory skills, safety training and individually designed exercises.


Norseland Nursing Home's Gallery
Westby caters to it's seniors and is noted for great places to experience community outings. Residents, staff and friends enjoy Old Towne Westby.		Residents give back to the community and are joined by staff, volunteers, Kohl's A Team Family & school children to tie blankets for others in need.	Men's Breakfast Group is joined by Administrator, Ned Barstad, at a Westby restaurant. Community Outings keep ties to the community active.
Physical Rehab staff assist residents with their therapy and recovery programs.		Individualized attention makes for sharing friendships.	Skilled Nursing Services offered for the comfort of Norseland Nursing Home's residents.


Onalaska Care Center's Gallery
Volunteers celebrate with a 50's theme at Emma's Diner. OCC provides a Recognition Ceremony for all volunteers each year.		Administrator Larry Alens celebrates Staff Anniversaries with special guests, Tom Rand Executive Director & Board President Sue Schultz.	Placing an order restaurant style has given new life to the OCC residents' dining experiences. Director of Nursing, Nancy Johnson, serves for the meal.
Summer Family Picnic held on the the festive grounds of the Care Center. This annual event is well anticipated and is delivered in style by staff and volunteers.		June Lusk, Nursing Secretary, takes an order as part of the Resident Choice Meal Plan.	Volunteer Recognition's Theme of "Emma's Diner" played out by OCC's Recreation Therapy Department. The Hoola Hoop contest was a fun part of the event attended by volunteers, Board of Directors, staff and the Executive Dir.


BSJ Community Services Programs and Housing Gallery
Clients of ACES are part of the community enjoying the many activities La Crosse and the area offers in the afternoon and evening hours. La Crosse Firefighters give a tour.		ACES clients found their beat at the Oktoberfest grounds while enjoying the La Crosse German festival in September.	West Salem's newest housing option for seniors affords a beautiful entry off Lewis Street. Salem Terrace's quality and affordability is unique to the Coulee Region. Tenants enjoy a view of strawberry picking guests at Jolivette's Berry Farm across the road.
WI House of Representatives' Jennifer Shilling receives a tour of Welcome Home apartments by tenants Don & Mary Winters.		Where quality meets affordability. Shelby Terrace of La Crosse opened its doors as a new Assisted Living facility in the area.	Prairie Home plays host to the visiting Oktoberfest Festmaster and Royalty. Music, dancing and singing were enjoyed by the tenants.
WI House of Representatives' Mike Huebsch (of West Salem) visits with June Hanifl of Salem Terrace.		Prairie Home of Holmen is a unique combination of Assisted Living apartments and Housing with Support Services apartments.	Groundbreaking for the new senior housing facility, Mill St. Manor in West Salem. Turning a shovel are BSJ Board members Russ Callahan, Roger Bjorge, Dorothy Wetterlin & Herb French.
